u2. — Microsoft has roll out its new Operating System i.e. Windows 10 on July 29, 2015. — Its is first operating system of it kind being able to run on various devices ranging from Mobile, Tablet, Laptops, Desktops etc and even XBOX in near future. — In this presentation we will have a look how to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 OS.

u3. Windows 10 up-gradation path — Windows 7 to Windows 10 ¡ If you are currently run Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Home Basic or Windows 7 Home Premium will be upgraded to Windows 10 Home. ¡ If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate will be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. — Windows 8 Windows 10 ¡ If you are running Windows 8.1 (the standard edition) will receive Windows 10 Home. And those of you running Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 8.1 Pro for Students will receive Windows 10 Pro. ¡ On the mobile phone side, if you're running Windows Phone 8.1, you'll get Windows 10 Mobile as your free upgrade. ¡ If you're still running Windows 8.0, you'll have to upgrade to Windows 8.1 to get Windows 10 for free.

u5. How to check Windows 7 Service Pack — Select properties by right clicking “My Computer”.

u6. Step-1 — Go to Microsoft site to Download. — Open URL https://insider.windows.com/Home/Index to get started with upgrade.

u7. Step-2 — Click “Get Started” Link

u8. Step-3 — Login with Microsoft account. If you didn’t have one you can sign up for new account.

u9. Step-4 — Once signed in click on link “Get Windows 10”

u10. Step-5 — Download tool suitable for your Hardware architecture.

u11. Step-6 — Run the downloaded utility.

u12. Step-7 — If you want to upgrade the same PC you can go for “Upgrade this PC now” option.

u13. Step-8 — If you want to create installation media for multiple installation or for installing on other machine go for option “ Create installation media for another PC”.

u14. Step-9 — Choose Language, Edition and Architecture options depending on your current OS architecture.

u15. Step-10 — You will be presented two download options “USB Flash Drive” or “ISO File”. Choose the option suitable for you. — The download is approximately 3 GB in size.

u16. Step-11 — If you choose USB Drive option the setup will find one connected to PC for media creation. — If you choose “ISO File” option you will be prompted for path to download ISO file. — You can burn this ISO file on DVD for installation.
